The Bomber Overdrive: Germanium Overdrive, Built by Hand in Atlanta
The Bomber Overdrive is a germanium overdrive built by hand in Atlanta. A pair of NOS Soviet D9E germanium diodes does the clipping, and three brass knobs with red dot pointers set Distortion, Tone and Level. It's $350.00, and it ships with a regulated 9V 1.7A power supply and a lifetime warranty that transfers if you ever pass it on.

FAQ
What diodes are in The Bomber Overdrive?
A pair of NOS Soviet D9E germanium diodes. NOS means new old stock: parts made decades ago that were never used until they went into your pedal.
What do germanium diodes do for an overdrive?
Germanium diodes clip more gently than silicon, so the drive builds gradually as you turn up Distortion instead of snapping into it. Tone shapes the top end, and Level sets your output.
Is The Bomber Overdrive handmade?
Yes. Jonathan Labadie builds every one by hand at his bench in Atlanta, GA, and backs it with a lifetime warranty that transfers to the next owner.
What power does it need?
9V DC, center negative, 350 mA. There's no battery option, so a regulated 9V 1.7A power supply comes in the box. It's true bypass.
